Unfortunately, the original steering stops are simply not strong enough. They can be damaged by harmless falls or a strong knock. If this happens, the top yoke (upper clamp) can be damaged, and the fork tubes and Telelever are vulnerable as well. Additionally, on the 1150 models the brake lines could be squashed causing brake failure. All this can lead to expensive repairs and a great deal of aggravation. All the listed original parts are not available usually at bargain discount prices, so the investment in damage prevention is always worthwhile.
We have opted for a new approach with the R 1200 GS, hereâs how it works: the protector brackets bolt onto the lower fork bridge pinch bolts, the top bumpers contact the Telelever just before the original steering stop would make contact.
This softens the blow, and, as the rubber bumper compresses, it progressively becomes a solid stop for the forks. Turning the handlebar fully is significantly more pleasant as the hard original restriction is no longer present.
Sold as a complete set of left and right hand side complete with all flttings.

Returns Policy
EU/EEA customers have a 14-day right of return from the day the goods are received. The goods must be unused, with tags attached and in the original packaging.
All returns must be pre-approved: e-mail info@mrttech.ee within 14 days of receiving the goods, stating the order number, and wait for our written confirmation before sending anything back. Return shipping is arranged and paid for by the customer.
Once we have received and inspected the returned goods, we issue the refund within 14 days. Where possible we refund using the original payment method (for example PayPal or Stripe), otherwise by bank transfer.
Shipping
Parcel machine (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Finland) – €9.90. Courier (non-express) – from €19.00, within the EU and internationally, with the exact cost calculated at checkout. Collection in store at Taevakivi 1, Tallinn – free. Free delivery on orders of €500 or more. Prices include VAT where applicable.
In-stock items are normally dispatched within 1–3 working days from release from our warehouse. Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees — some items may take longer, for example when ordered in specially or during stock or supplier delays. We are not liable for delays beyond our reasonable control, but we always make reasonable efforts to deliver at the earliest opportunity. This does not affect any statutory rights the customer may have as a consumer.
